Norfolk Sports Club Announces Date- March 1, 2012 2012 Jamboree Keynote SpeakerRobert Patrick "Rocky" Bleier Former National Football League halfback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. 
He graduated from University of Notre Dame in 1968. Was a member of the 1966 National Championship team and captain of 1967 squad.Rocky was drafted into the U. S. Army in December 1968 and volunteered for duty in the Vietnam War and shipped out in May 1968, serving with the 196th Light Infantry Brigade. On August 20, 1969 was wounded in his left thigh by a rifle bullet when his platoon was ambushed in a rice paddy. While on the ground an enemy grenade landed nearby after bouncing off a fellow soldier, sending shrapnel into his lower leg. He was later awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
